Install the App

Your numbers one tap away, on whatever you actually have in your hand.

2 minute readAppears on: Account menu, on every page

Why bother

Checking the morning numbers should not start with typing an address.

Installed, the app sits on your home screen or taskbar like anything from a store. It opens full screen on a phone and in its own window on a computer — no tabs, no address bar, no browser furniture between you and the dashboard.

It is the same app on the same login. Installing changes how you reach it, not what it does.

The one-line version

Open Account ▸ Install app. We handle the rest, or show you the exact taps for your device.

That menu row only appears when installing is actually possible — so if it is missing, see when the option isn't there.

On your phone or tablet

iPhone and iPad — you must use Safari. Chrome and Firefox on iPhone cannot install anything. That is Apple's rule, not ours.

  1. Open store-analytics.suntechventures.co in Safari.
  2. Tap Share in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add.

Android and everything else — Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, Brave and Opera all work the same way.

  1. Open the site in your browser.
  2. Open the browser menu — ⋮ or ⋯.
  3. Choose Install app, or Add to Home screen.
  4. Confirm.

Open it from the home screen icon afterwards, not from the browser, or you will get the ordinary tab back.

On your computer

Chrome, Edge, Brave and Opera hand us a real install button, so Account ▸ Install app does the whole thing in one click. If you would rather do it yourself, click the install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar, or use the browser menu ⋮ ▸ Install.

Safari on a Mac has no install button, so it is done by hand: Share ▸ Add to Dock, then Add.

Once it is installed, right-click the taskbar or dock icon for a jump straight into Summary, AI Insights or Marketing without loading the app first.

Installing it on my laptop puts it on my phone too.
Each device installs separately. After a desktop install the app tells you exactly this — open the address on your phone and use Account ▸ Install app there as well. Install it on as many devices as you like.

What it does and doesn't keep

The app stores nothing on your device except a small offline page and its icon — about 25 KB in total. No reports, no orders, no customer data ever lands on the phone.

That has three consequences worth knowing:

It is always the live version. Nothing is cached, so there is no update to install and no stale figure to catch you out. Whatever you open is what the server has right now.

It needs a connection. There is no offline mode, deliberately. A number from four hours ago is worse than no number, so instead of showing you a stale dashboard it shows a plain You're offline screen with a Retry button.

Removing it deletes nothing. Uninstalling removes the icon and that 25 KB. Your account, your stores and your history are all on the server, untouched, and reinstalling takes twenty seconds.

To remove it: press and hold the icon on a phone (Remove App, then Delete from Home Screen on iPhone; Uninstall on Android), or open the app's own ⋮ menu on a computer and choose Uninstall.

When the option isn't there

Account ▸ Install app hides itself whenever installing would fail, so a missing row is information rather than a fault. Work down this list:

It is already installed. Check your home screen, or your taskbar. The row disappears once the app is on the device — that is the option doing its job.

You are already running the installed app. It cannot install itself again.

You opened it inside the Shopify admin. Anything running embedded in another site's page cannot be installed. Open store-analytics.suntechventures.co directly in your browser.

You are on an iPhone but not in Safari. Switch to Safari.

You are on Firefox for desktop. Firefox does not offer installing on computers. Use Chrome or Edge — or install it on your phone instead, where Firefox does support it.

It is your very first visit. The browser decides an app is installable a moment after the page loads. One refresh usually brings the row back.

Do this first

Install it on your phone before your computer.

The desktop version is a convenience; the phone version is the one that changes the habit, because it is what you have with you when someone asks how yesterday went.
